Design & Economic Vitality Committee

The Committee supports community transformation by enhancing physical and visual assets of the downtown core and focuses on economic tools to assist new, and existing businesses. Concerned with keeping our business environment healthy and varied, they contact new property owners/managers and maintain a listing of places available for lease while acting as a catalyst for development and restoration and creating a supportive environment for entrepreneurs in the local economy. This committee is involved with projects such as the flower baskets, the trees along Sherman and Lakeside Avenues, and other amenities such as the street-side benches. They meet on the Third Thursday of every month at 8:00 a.m. in the Coeur Conference Room in the Chamber Building located at 1st & Lakeside.

Events & Marketing Committee

Working to draw visitors and locals alike through events such as Car d’Lane, Street Fair, and the Holiday Parade. The Events & Marketing Committee positions the downtown core as the center of the community and hub of activity while creating a positive image that showcases Downtown Coeur d’Alene’s unique characteristics. They help coordinate cooperative programs and advertising tools such as the Downtown Brochure and create a yearly marketing calendar to provide both local and far-reaching advertising for year-round promotion of the Downtown Business area. They meet the second Thursday of each month at 8:00 am in the Coeur Conference Room in the Chamber Building located at 1st & Lakeside.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee creates a strong foundation for a sustainable revitalization effort, including cultivating partnerships, community involvement, and resources for the district. They meet the First Wednesday of each month at 8:00 am in the Merritt Conference Room in the Chamber Building located at 1st & Lakeside.

Retailer Roundtable

Offering downtown business owners, managers, and employees the opportunity to network with one another, learn a variety of business development tools, address the issues of maintaining a vibrant retail environment in the Downtown business district, and get the pulse on downtown happenings. The roundtable works as a communication forum for the retail and hospitality businesses and has been responsible for helping to give a voice to the small business owner that helps connect the stakeholders in our downtown community! They meet the First Tuesday of each month at 8:00 am in the Coeur Conference Room in the Chamber Building located at 1st & Lakeside.
